After playing and loving Sonic Mania, I noticed that the mini boss theme was--how should I put it?--lacking. It lacked any of the intensity and aggression of the one from Sonic & Knuckles. Thanks unknown composer for providing that to us!

Akinori Minami included the track alongside the Eggman theme on the official Arrange Album released by SEGA 23 years ago, and I loved it. The tempo was a bit off however, and the background synth (the one that's not a bell) was missing from the second phrase of the music. I also wasn't as fond of the new drum track during that same second phrase. So after being bored--and irate over Valve's painfully slow time table for TF2 updates--I decided to redo the track fixing these nagging issues. I undertake these music projects mostly for my own entertainment, but if you enjoy them, then all the better I suppose.
