Here is my GBA cover of “Duel of the Fates,” one of the most iconic musical themes in the Star Wars saga. As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith in 2025, I wanted to honor the legacy of this unforgettable score and its impact on a generation of fans.

“Duel of the Fates” was composed by John Williams and first appeared in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace during the climactic battle between Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Darth Maul. The piece later returned in Revenge of the Sith, underscoring the intense emotional and physical conflict between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan on Mustafar. With its chanting chorus and urgent orchestration, it remains a fan-favorite piece that defines the prequel trilogy’s dramatic tone.

This cover was made using the soundfont of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones on the Game Boy Advance. I used AnvilStudio and FEBuilder to create this. The track is fully usable in potential ROM hacks.
