Using only free plugins, I try to mimic the japanese mood on this track from Pokémon series, the famous Versus Trainer theme.
The tempo is slower, and I had added Taiko drums, in way that reminds me of Mononoke Hime OST. Flute does sounds like in Golden Sun, because ... it is flute from Golden Sun !
I'm sure I could have set up a better sounding for the Ehru (no legato, so sad), the shamisen (lack of resonance) and the Koto.
But between me and paid softwares (Kontakt, Koto Nation), there are hundreds of euros. Later, maybe ?
