ANNOUNCEMENT:
I plan to completely re-do these tracks to create a “definitive” Sonic 3 soundtrack, especially for the purposes of modding Sonic 3 A.I.R. and Sonic Origins as well as remaking other songs from Sonic and other games, so leave comments/suggestions, get subscribed and hit the bell icon to be notified when new remakes are posted!

TRACK TRIVIA:
When this was made, I challenged myself to not use any of the original samples from the Genesis version. However, I did sample the "Go!" sound from Michael Jackson's song "Speed Demon" and pitched it down to match the original sample's pitch. Also, the long breath sound at the start of the second section is me! Act 1 and 2 combined due to similarities.

BACKGROUND:
For those who don’t know, Sonic 3 HD was a real thing once upon a time. It began back in 2010 when I started remaking some music from the game, Icecap Zone to be exact, and at the time I was calling myself “Devinator.” Eventually, more talented team members came on board, and we were able to pump out a tech demo on Christmas Day 2011 featuring Mushroom Hill Zone (Act 1) and the emerald shrine from Hidden Palace Zone. Progress continued only for a short while after that before we decided to officially discontinue the project sometime in 2013 or 2014. However, I still continued producing music for the game and improved on existing music.

This collection of demo tracks is the result of those efforts. I feel the time is right due to Sonic’s 30th anniversary and the release of Sonic Origins. Some tracks are definitely more polished than others, and it may be easy to tell which ones were made later as I have grown over the years as a producer. Thank you for listening, and enjoy!

Side note, a user by the name of Gible V. has posted a video in 2015 showcasing all the previous versions of these tracks. That video can be found here:
