I haven't uploaded a video in ages due to many things, which is generally real life stuff and also, my hard drive failing on me. So, after losing everything I've had on there for the past three years, I decided to start over fresh.
Yet, the files are present, it's just that the drive itself can't be accessed, so I'm out of a hard drive due to data recovery services being super expensive. That, and if I were to power on the drive over here, it'll click once and make my computer's file browser freeze. And if I were to load up my Event Viewer, it'd get flooded with disk error messages, so the hard drive itself, knowing my luck here, is pretty much, yet very much, DEAD.
How did it happen? I explained it on my Newgrounds blog post, so the reason the hard drive died was due to it falling off my desk while it was running. So, it basically started a silent time bomb back in February, and when February began, the drive died one cold night with the dreaded “click of death”. Even in May, I'm still miffed at myself for not backing everything up, which meant that I lost my OpenMPT projects, fan art of my OCs, plus art I myself had made. Adding on to this, this also counts for an unreleased video I recorded a while back but never uploaded it to YouTube, which I was planning onto, but never got onto doing it due to procrastination and general forgetfulness.
So, what I have left on my computer was just dead file links to projects that don't even exist anymore that, at one point, used to point over to my F:/ drive I had mapped to there, but since the drive itself is dead, all's I have is basically link rot.
Since my external drive's dead, there goes three years of my life right there, I guess. Welp, time to start over with my OpenMPT projects!
Anyway, happy birthday to myself, and no worries! I'm very much alive, I'll get myself a new drive sooner or later and back everything up, including my operating system and its files and such, since I used to it often once every month. So, that's about it for me and my story time. Onto the credits!
The MIDI was sequenced by SonicFan113, which has been edited to where it can literally fit into five channels. Six, if we don't include the DAC running.
You can download the MIDI file here: vgmusic.com/music/console/nint...
Hope you enjoyed the little life update! I'll explain more about it in a video later on this week or so.
